		<description>Biography

Born in Cocoa Beach, Florida, Elissa Morley is an artist currently living in Indianapolis.
After graduating with an MFA from the Slade School of Fine Art in London, England, she taught in many institutions of higher education in Central Kentucky.&#38;nbsp; She received a Kentucky Foundation for Women Artist Enrichment Grant in 2009, the Great Meadows Artist Professional Development Grant in 2020, &#38;nbsp;and has art in a number of private collections. &#38;nbsp;Elissa is represented by Wheelhouse Art, LLC in Louisville, Kentucky.

The open steel forms delineate boundaries while communicating function, power structure, delicacy and strength. &#38;nbsp;
Two-dimensional works employ translucent materials in order to create a sense of dimension and light. &#38;nbsp;Layered watercolor memorials feature custom-designed ceramic vases.

This body of work combines natural and architectural forms. &#38;nbsp;
Pools, fountains, ponds, baths, and even the ocean within the landscape have the sense of existing expressly for ritual purposes.

They, alongside bridges, gardens, geodesic forms and colonnades become metaphors for transcendent relationships, transformation and growth.
